Troubleshooting Steps for Dash Cam Power Issues
If your dash cam keeps turning off while driving, please follow these steps:
Preliminary Checks:
-
Disable Features
First, turn off the following features:- Screen Saver: This feature turns the screen black after a set time to display only video recording in the background, ensuring safe driving conditions.
- Motion Detection
- Auto Power Off
-
Car Charger and Connection
Ensure the original car charger is firmly plugged into the vehicle's cigarette lighter socket. Check that the charger's indicator light remains steady.
If the indicator light flashes, please contact us for further assistance.
Troubleshooting Steps:
-
Check the SD Card
- Remove the SD card. Power the dash cam using the original car charger and turn it on.
Observation:
- If the issue is resolved, the SD card may be causing the problem.- Format the SD card and try again.
- Alternatively, replace the SD card with a U1 or U3 class SD card.
-
Test Without the Rear Camera
- Unplug the rear camera. Power the dash cam and check if it still shuts off while driving.
Observation:
- If the issue is resolved, the rear camera may be defective.- Please email us your order number along with the results of your troubleshooting to request a replacement rear camera.
-
Test with an Alternate Power Source
- Bring the dash cam indoors (without the SD card and rear camera). Use a USB cable and a 5V 2A/3A DC power adapter to power it through a standard socket.
Important: Do not use a computer as the voltage may be insufficient to power the dash cam.
Observation:
- If the issue is resolved, the car charger may be defective.- Please email us your order number along with the results of your troubleshooting to request a replacement car charger.
If the issue persists after trying all steps, please contact us with the results for further assistance.

☟ Does it have app features, can I use app on my phone to watch or playback the videos?
No, it doesn't support Wi-Fi, APP and Bluetooth.
You can conect it to your computer with the Mini USB data Cable, copy the video to the PC, then replay the record videos.
Or you can take out the SD card and read it on the computer with a Card Reader to copy the video to the PC, then replay the record videos.
☟ Can I plug this into a USB phone charger? Or do I need to use the charger plug that comes with it?
Yes, you can plug the dashcam into a USB charger for power using a USB cable.
However, please note that the dashcam requires a 5V 2A power supply.
It is recommended to use the original car charger, which outputs at 5V 2A.
☟ Does the car camera record continue after the SD card is full?
You can activate the "loop recording" so when the storage is full it will loop back to the earliest file and record over it.
☟ What if my camera stops recording? Shouldn't it be looping?
Why Does the SD Card Fill Up?
-
G-Sensor and Parking Monitor Settings:
These features, when enabled, lock videos whenever the dash cam detects a shake or an emergency brake. Locked videos are crucial as evidence in case of incidents. -
Overwriting Normal Videos:
When the SD card is full of normal video clips, the dash cam automatically overwrites the oldest files with new recordings. -
Locked Videos Require Manual Deletion:
Locked videos are never overwritten automatically. If the SD card is full of locked clips, you will need to manually clean or format the card to allow further recording.
How to Manage Locked Videos More Effectively
-
Why Locked Videos Are Important:
Locked videos are stored when the dash cam detects an impact, ensuring critical evidence is preserved. -
Adjusting Sensitivity:
The G-Sensor sensitivity determines how easily the dash cam detects impacts or shakes.
Setting the sensitivity to Middle or Low can help reduce the frequency of locked videos, preventing the SD card from filling up too quickly.
Important Safety Reminder
Do Not Disable the G-Sensor or Parking Monitor:
Disabling these features compromises the safety and effectiveness of your dash cam, leaving you without critical evidence in case of incidents.
We strongly advise against disabling these settings, as it may endanger drivers.
Your understanding and cooperation in maintaining these safety features are greatly appreciated.
☟ Is this dash camera to record while ignition is off?
This dual dash cam can record even when the ignition is off, as it has a mini built-in battery.
However, it records a short 10-15 second clip only when the parking monitor feature is activated and detects motion or a shake.
☟ Why doesn't my Dash Cam automatically record when I start my car?
This issue is usually related to the SD card or settings. Please try the following troubleshooting steps:
1. Disable the "Motion Detection" feature.
2. Format the SD card to FAT32/ExFAT32 on a Windows PC (refer to the image for guidance), then reformat it in the camera.
If the issue persists after trying all steps, please contact us with the results for further assistance.

☟ Do I need to purchase additional parts for the parking monitoring to work while it is parked?
There is no need to purchase additional components.
The dash cam's built-in battery supports the parking monitor function even when the car is turned off.
☟ How can the rear camera automatically turn on when reversing?
Please ensure that the red cable from the rear camera is securely connected to the positive lead of the reverse lamp(which activates only when the car is in reverse gear).
This connection is crucial for the reverse signal to be detected on the screen.
If you confirm that the cable is properly connected and the issue persists, please let us know, and we will proceed with replacing your rear camera.
