☟ What should I do if I have a camera but no image appears on the screen or in the app?
Following are some troubleshooting for your reference:
1, Could you please restart the NVR and reconnect both ends of the camera's Ethernet cable to check if it works?
2. If advice 1 is not helpful. Could you please insert the camera's Ethernet wire into another connection port on the NVR to see if this works?
3. If advice 2 still fails, can you connect the camera to another working camera's Ethernet cable and see if you can see live images of the camera over a working Ethernet cable?
If none of the above resolves the issue, please contact us with the Order Number and what you attempted so that we can provide a definitive solution as soon as possible.
☟ Does this home security camera work with 5.0 ghz wifi or only 2.4 ghz wifi?
Since the NVR is connected to the router via an Ethernet cable, so it has nothing to do with the 2.4 GHz and 5GHz network frequency.
So both of the 2.4 GHz and 5GHz network frequency are workable.
☟ Do you have to be connected to the internet to record?
It can work without the internet, but we'd better have a successful network connection at the first use.
After successfully connecting the NVR to the internet, add it to the app to make sure all cameras are added successfully(can see live views of all the cameras).
Then disconnect the network, at this time, the camera will record, but not through the APP remote monitoring.
You may still watch live images of the cameras on the screen which is connected via an HDMI cable.
☟ What is the maximum number of cameras that the NVR can support?
The maximum number of cameras that the NVR can support is 8.
☟ Can these be connected to a tv or another monitor?
One camera can be connected to one NVR, and also one NVR can be connected to only one screen monitor or one TV.
Connect it to a Screen Monitor:
1. Power to the screen.
2. Connect the Screen to the NVR via HDMI cable, and you will see the cameras' live views.
3. Use the mouse you plugged into the NVR to configure the system.
To connect it to a TV device, you need to set the HDMI input on the TV:
1. Use the TV remote to locate the "Input Source" or "Input Select" button (sometimes labeled as "Source" or "Input").
2. Press the input select button to bring up a source menu, then choose the HDMI port connected to the security camera (e.g., HDMI 1, HDMI 2, etc.).
By the way, the laptop's HDMI port solely serves as an output function, it cannot be used for HDMI input. So the NVR can not be connected to a laptop.
If you want to watch live views of the cameras on your laptop, you can download and install software,
then log in it with the APP account you created on the phone.
