FAQs
☟ How do I connect this security camera system to wifi for remote access?
Since your cameras have a Base Station(NVR Monitor), they were already connected/paired with the Base Station(NVR Monitor) when you received them.
We simply need to connect the Base Station(NVR Monitor) to the router using an Ethernet cable.
Charge the camera and connect the system to the app by scanning the QR-CODE on the Base Station(NVR Monitor) using the APP.
Then you can view the live views.
If you want to connect it to a WiFi hotspot instead of the router's WLAN port, please see the attached image for instructions
on how to connect it to a 2.4GHz WiFi network and where to find the QR code to scan to add the device to the app.
☟ What should I do if the device or one of the cameras is offline?
If the device is offline:
The Ethernet cable between the Base Station(NVR Monitor) and the router must be firmly plugged in for the network to be stable(the base station's NET indicator must remain lit without flashing).
If you connected the Base Station(NVR Monitor) to a WiFi hotspot, please make sure the Network state shows "Healthy Network"
If one of the cameras is offline or the live view is black.
We have to ensure that the camera has adequate power to turn on steadily.
Perhaps you can charge it for 2-3 hours with a wall adapter (you'll hear a turning-on sound when you turn it on) and make sure it's not too far away from the base station.
After that, check if you can see a live view of the camera after fully charging and turning it on.
If you are still unable to see the camera in the APP.
Please go to the camera settings, delete the camera channel, and follow the directions in the user manual to reset the issue camera successfully(press the reset button for at least 5 SECONDS).
To reconnect the camera, click the icon "+" on the screen, please refer to the screenshot.
And then you will see the live view of the camera again.
☟ Does this wireless security camera support two-way talk?
Yes, it supports two-way talk via the APP.
☟ Does this home security camera work with 5.0 ghz wifi or only 2.4 ghz wifi?
Since your camera has a Base Station(NVR Monitor) and is connected to the router via an Ethernet cable, it has nothing to do with the 2.4 GHz and 5GHz network frequency.
We need to examine the NET indicator on the Base Station(NVR Monitor).
To guarantee that the system connects to the network effectively, the Ethernet cable between the Base Station(NVR Monitor) and the router must be securely plugged in before the network can be stable,
and it means the network is connected successfully when the base station's NET indicator remains illuminated without flashing.
If you don't want to use a network cable to connect your device to the Internet, but want to connect your device to a WiFi hotspot,
then you need to pay attention that you can only connect to a 2.4GHz network hotspot.
☟ Do you have to be connected to the internet to record?
Yes, it can work without the internet.
However, if you do not connect it to a network, you will be unable to add it to your phone for remote wireless access.
Since your cameras have a Base Station(NVR Monitor), they were already connected/paired with the Base Station(NVR Monitor) when you received them.
So, after you plug the cameras and Base Station(NVR Monitor) into outlets to get power, then you can view the live views.
☟ What is the maximum number of cameras that the Base Station(NVR Monitor) can support?
The maximum number of cameras that the Base Station(NVR Monitor) can support is 10.
Should you wish to add an additional camera to your current suite, please do not hesitate to contact us so that we can recommend a compatible camera model.
We advise against purchasing cameras from other suppliers, as this may result in compatibility issues.
☟ The camera and the Base Station(NVR Monitor) both have micro sd card slots, where do I insert the card?
Attention: Do not insert a Micro SD card when the Base Station(NVR Monitor) already has a hard disk inserted.
The system supports both HDDs and SD cards, but you can only select one.
If your system already has a built-in 500GB HDD and recognizes it before you put the SD card, the SD card will not function.
If your system does not recognize the SD card, please first enter the system to check if your system already recognizes the HDD,
if the HDD doesn't work, please format the HDD and re-install the HDD to the NVR, and then restore it to check it again,
if it can recognize the HDD, you can use the HDD directly, choose " format" to format it in the system directly, and then use it to record video.
We recommend using HDDs first, as they can sustain up to 6TB.
If you insist on inserting an SD card instead of an HDD,
the system supports a class 10 and above high-speed card with a maximum of 128GB. Before inserting the SD card,
please format the SD card to FAT32/exFAT in a computer first, then remove the HDD and power off the NVR, insert the SD card, and power on the NVR to check it again.
☟ Does it record 24/7?
It depends on how you set it up and how you power it.
It is not possible to record 24/7 in the following circumstances.
Under the following situation, it cannot record for 24 hours.
The security camera has three settings, and the longest recording length is just 1-3 hours.
1. Best power saving: When the recording is triggered, it only runs for 10 seconds.
2. Best recording: Each time the recording is activated until there is no one in front of the camera.
3. Keep recording: Recording for an extended period of time, but because of limited battery life,
it can only record for 1-3 hours at a time. When the battery is below 50%, it will enter power-saving mode.
Ways to let it record 24/7:
1. Change the recording mode to "Keep recording".
2. Always plug the camera into an outlet. In this instance, the camera is always powered, so you do not have to worry about a low battery.
☟ What is the connection distance between the camera and the Base Station(NVR Monitor)?
Under ideal conditions, the camera can be positioned within 65-100 feet of the Base Station(NVR Monitor);
however, the actual range varies based on factors such as wall thickness, indoor obstructions, and Base Station(NVR Monitor) location.
If the camera and Base Station(NVR Monitor) are in an open outdoor location with no obstructions, the connection distance can be up to 330 feet.
☟ Can these be connected to a tv or another Base Station(NVR Monitor)?
One camera can be connected to a single Base Station(NVR Monitor), but the Base Station(NVR Monitor) can be connected to a Screen Monitor or a TV with an HDMI port.
To connect it to a TV device, you need to set the HDMI input on the TV:
1. Use the TV remote to locate the "Input Source" or "Input Select" button (sometimes labeled as "Source" or "Input").
2. Press the input select button to bring up a source menu, then choose the HDMI port connected to the security camera (e.g., HDMI 1, HDMI 2, etc.).
☟ How do you delete Alarm pictures from notifications on the Cloudeye 365?
The alarm messages in the event can not be deleted. These thumbnails are retained in the app's cache data, and the thumbnails in events will be automatically cleared after three days.
If you want to delete specific videos. You can format the memory card in the APP, but this will delete all the videos saved in the memory card.
Or you can read the memory card on the computer by a card reader to choose the single videos you want to delete.
☟ How long can the battery last?
With regards to how long the battery can last which depends on many factors, below are the main factors:
1. Trigger frequency: If the cameras are triggered frequently, the camera will be waked up frequently to take videos. The higher the trigger rate, the faster the power consumption.
2. Video Recording setting: the longer the recording time of each trigger, the faster the power consumption.
3. The environment for solar charging panel's : If the sun is not very bright, or if it is frequently cloudy or rainy, the solar panels will not be able to recharge as quickly as the camera's frequent triggers will drain the battery.
So you can adjust the settings to reduce unnecessary battery consumption.
