FAQs

☟ How do I connect this security camera system to wifi for remote access?

Since your cameras have a base station, they were already connected/paired with the Monitor(Base Station) when you received them.
We simply need to connect the Monitor(Base Station) to the WiFi.
Plug the camera to a power source and connect the system to the app by scanning the QR-CODE on the Monitor(Base Station) using the APP.
Then you can view the live views.

☟ What should I do if the device or one of the cameras is offline?

If the device is offline:
Confirm that the network is steady, and that the router's WiFi is set to 2.4GHz network mode without changing.

If one of the cameras is offline or the live view is black.
We have to ensure that the camera has adequate power to turn on steadily.
Perhaps you can charge it for 2-3 hours with a wall adapter (you'll hear a turning-on sound when you turn it on) and make sure it's not too far away from the base station.
After that, check if you can see a live view of the camera after fully charging and turning it on.

If you are still unable to see the camera in the APP.
Reset the issue camera successfully first(press the reset button for at least 5 SECONDS).
To reconnect the camera, please refer to the screenshot. And then you will see the live view of the camera again.

☟ Does this wireless security camera support two-way talk?

Yes, it supports two-way talk via the APP.

☟ Does this home security camera work with 5.0 ghz wifi or only 2.4 ghz wifi?

Yes, it has to be 2.4Ghz WiFi.
Please confirm that your router operates at a 2.4 GHz network frequency(some routers support both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz).
It is not cellular data, but rather a method of router operation that may be configured and validated after signing in to the router.
For your reference, the information on how they differ is provided below https://networkshardware.com/2-4ghz-vs-5ghz/

☟ Do you have to be connected to the internet to record?

It can work without the internet, but we'd better have a successful network connection at the first use.
After successfully connecting to the internet, add it to the app to make sure all cameras are added successfully(can see live views of all the cameras).
Then disconnect the network, at this time, the camera will record, but not through the APP remote monitoring.

☟ What is the maximum number of cameras that the Monitor(Base Station) can support?

The maximum number of cameras that the Monitor(Base Station) can support is 4.

☟ The camera and the Monitor(Base Station) both have micro sd card slots, where do I insert the card?

The system works with a Max 128GB Micro SD card, please make sure to insert it into the Monitor(Base Station) but not the camera.

☟ What is the connection distance between the camera and the Monitor(Base Station)?

Under ideal conditions, the camera can be positioned within 65-100 feet of the Monitor(Base Station);
however, the actual range varies based on factors such as wall thickness, indoor obstructions, and Monitor(Base Station) location.
If the camera and Monitor(Base Station) are in an open outdoor location with no obstructions, the connection distance can be up to 330 feet.

☟ Regarding the Monitor, does the battery support charging function? How to charge?

This monitor includes two lithium batteries. When an external power supply is plugged in, it charges the battery.
When the external power supply is withdrawn, the lithium battery powers the Monitor.

☟ What is the function of the USB port on the Monitor(Base Station)?

1. It can be used to connect the mouse and perform the same function as touch.
2. lt is used to connect the U disc and backup video files. Please restart the system once you've inserted the U disc.

☟ Can these be connected to a tv or another monitor?

One camera can be connected to a single Base Station, but the base station can not be connected to a Screen Monitor or a TV.

☟ How do you delete Alarm pictures from notifications on the Cloudeye 365?

The alarm messages in the event can not be deleted. These thumbnails are retained in the app's cache data, and the thumbnails in events will be automatically cleared after three days.
If you want to delete specific videos. You can format the memory card in the APP, but this will delete all the videos saved in the memory card.
Or you can read the memory card on the computer by a card reader to choose the single videos you want to delete.

☟ How long can the battery last?

With regards to how long the battery can last which depends on many factors, below are the main factors:
1. Trigger frequency: If the cameras are triggered frequently, the camera will be waked up frequently to take videos. The higher the trigger rate, the faster the power consumption.
2. Video Recording setting: the longer the recording time of each trigger, the faster the power consumption.
3. The environment for solar charging panel's : If the sun is not very bright, or if it is frequently cloudy or rainy, the solar panels will not be able to recharge as quickly as the camera's frequent triggers will drain the battery.

So you can adjust the settings to reduce unnecessary battery consumption.
